From the Publisher –
In the riveting conclusion of the 4MK trilogy, Barker takes the thriller to an entirely new level. Don’t miss a single word of the series James Patterson called “ingenious.”

Hear No Evil
For Detective Sam Porter, the words “Father, forgive me” conjure memories long forgotten; a past intentionally buried. For Anson Bishop, these three words connect a childhood to the present as he unleashes a truth concealed for decades.
See No Evil
Found written on cardboard near each body, these words link multiple victims to a single killer—discovered within minutes of each other in both Chicago and South Carolina—clearly connected yet separated by impossible miles.
Speak No Evil
Chicago Metro and the FBI find themselves caught in chaos—a hospital on lockdown, a rogue officer, and corruption at the highest levels. When Anson Bishop, the prime suspect in the notorious 4MK serial murders turns himself in, he reveals a story completely unexpected, one that not only upends the current investigation, but one that will change the lives of all involved.
Do No Evil
With unrelenting tension and pulse-pounding suspense, the past unravels at breakneck speed as the truth behind the Four Monkey Killer’s motive is finally revealed in this masterfully crafted finale.

“Serial killers in fiction are a dime a dozen these days, and it takes a powerful lot of thought and crafty planning to come up with one who’s unique. In THE FOURTH MONKEY Barker does just that — and gives us more than one. And he bounces his bad guys off a colorful cast of believable characters. For you puzzle fans, there’s a story within the story as strange and twisty as the tale itself. But make no mistake, this is a suspense novel through and through, and it’s in no way shy about it.”
Jack Ketchum, Award Winning Author of Off Season and The Girl Next Door

“This book is seriously brilliant: the best serial killer thriller I’ve ever read.”
Lisa Milton, Executive Editor HarperCollins HQ

International Bestselling Author J.D. Barker Moves to New Castle, NH

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – New York Times and International Bestselling Author J.D. Barker Moves to New Castle, NH

In the early hours of June 4, J.D. Barker and family watched as the last of their possessions were loaded into a moving truck and with one of their vehicles in tow, they began the ten-hour drive to their new home located on the island of New Castle off the New Hampshire coast near Portsmouth.

“We’ve had our eyes on New Castle for a few years now and when our agent called to tell us this particular property was available, we jumped on it. The island is absolutely picturesque. Everyone knows everyone. As you cross the bridge, you feel like you’ve been transported into a Norman Rockwell painting. From the first moment we saw this place, my wife and I knew this was where we wanted to raise our little family.”

Barker is available for interviews with local press as well as bookstore appearances.

J.D. Barker is the international best-selling author of numerous novels, including FORSAKEN and THE FOURTH MONKEY. His latest novel, DRACUL, co-authored with Dacre Stoker, released October 2018. His next novel, THE SIXTH WICKED CHILD, releases in August. He is currently collaborating with James Patterson. His novels have been translated into two dozen languages and optioned for both film and television.

J.D. Barker to Provide Exclusive Content via Patreon and Help Aspiring Authors

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –

International bestselling author, J.D. Barker has announced plans to provide exclusive content and help aspiring authors via the website, Patreon.

“I’m constantly creating and Patreon offers the perfect platform for someone like me to share new material with a close-knit group of people. In many ways, it’s like sitting around a virtual campfire and sharing tales. There’s immediate feedback, something I’ve missed recently.”

In addition to short stories and possibly a Patreon exclusive novel, Barker vowed his first post will contain the elusive LOST CHAPTER from his second novel, THE FOURTH MONKEY. The “Lost Chapter,” which has frustrated many fans, can currently only be found on his website after following a set of clues hidden within the book or by purchasing select editions of the paperback worldwide.

Barker’s use of Patreon won’t be limited to exclusive content. He also plans to use the site to help aspiring authors find a path to publication. “I regularly get contacted by authors asking for advice and guidance, I’m hoping I can use Patreon to organize an effort to help as many of them as possible. Whether that help includes crafting a query letter or critiquing a work in progress, I’ll do what I can. I am truly grateful for all the help I’ve received and I want to pay it forward.”

Barker is no stranger to helping fellow authors. Prior to publishing his first novel in 2014, he spent more than two decades working as a ghost writer and book doctor – a period he credits for teaching him what works and what doesn’t in today’s mass-market fiction.
